Secret, Book 4 in The Elemental Series, is out TODAY!

SecretGuys. My life has been crazy. I know I haven’t been posting much recently, and as soon as I finish Sacrifice (Book 5), I’ll be back in action on the blog. That said, I needed to take a moment to thank you. To thank ALL of you. Tomorrow, my fourth book will be released. Storm originally came out in April 2012, so as of tomorrow, I’ll have released four books and three novellas in less than two years. I’d be crazy if I didn’t admit a little pride — yet I’m so humbled, too, because I know all of you had something to do with it. Many writers spend years dreaming of publication (I was one of them!) and many writers never get to publish one novel, much less four. So thank you. All of you. I’m so lucky to have gotten the chance to meet so many of you, and I can’t wait to see how many more people will affect my life as I continue this publication journey.

Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning or you’re deciding to start with Secret (which is fine — it can stand alone), here are some ways to buy the book, if you’re so inclined:

> Buy on iBooks

> Buy on Google Play

> Buy on Barnes & Noble

> Buy on Amazon

> Buy on Books-a-Million

> Buy on indieBound

Please consider joining me for the launch party for Secret, this Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 1pm, at Barnes & Noble in Ellicott City, Maryland. Click here for details.

If you can’t afford to buy the book, but you still want to read it, I encourage you to borrow from your public library or to borrow from a friend. If you find the book available for free on the internet, that is a piracy site, and downloading it for free is illegal.

If you do choose to read Secret, I can’t wait to hear what you think. Please know that one of the greatest favors you can do for a writer is to review his or her book. Even if you don’t like a book, reviews matter. (I fell in love with Pamela Clare’s romantic suspense series after reading a bad review of one of her books and deciding I had to see what all the fuss was about! Now I’ve bought all the books in the series!) That said, I know Secret deals with a lot of issues that may be painful or private for some readers, and if you’d like to share any thoughts privately (good or bad), please don’t hesitate to email me directly at I will never make reader emails public without permission, and I don’t collect email addresses for marketing purposes.

  1. Congratulations Brigid! I’m so glad I stumbled upon this series in 2012 and can’t wait until I get my copy of Secret! Not sure when it’s out in Australia but plan to pounce on the bookstore ASAP! 🙂

  2. Congratulations on your success, Brigid. It is obviously well-deserved!

I am super excited for this book to come out. I have been ever since I found out it would be Nick’s story, and reading Breathless only excited me more. It’s not releasing until 1st February here in Australia, but even so – I also want to thank you for the fantastic timing.

I know that release dates are out of your control, but this book is coming at a time where I really need an escape from reality, so thank you. It’s going to get me through some very rough days.

  3. Finished reading Secret on the second day it was out, in eight hours of reading in a twenty-hour time span. Enjoyed it tremendously, and I know it’s crazy, but want to read the next one NOW. These books just keep getting better and better! Keep up the amazing work!

  4. Yay! Congrats!!! So excited another one from the series has released. I am going to ask my library to get these books so they are on the shelf for others (as I already have them), and — as always — I’m going to buy a copy for my sister as well. I can’t WAIT to read it. I wish I could start before Friday, but I’m on a work deadline that is no fun. :/

Congrats, again, can’t wait for Sacrifice and whatever it is you come up with next. 🙂

  5. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Secret! It by far is the best book I have read in a long time ( since I read Spirit!). I think that the way it deals with the topics that it does is so true and raw ( sorry for being vague but trying to avoid spoilers). I fall into the same category as nick. with a brother that does not accept me for me. Lucky for me I have found someone that does. So from personal experience it is incredibly accurate and it really hit home for me and I am sure many others out there

  6. Hi, i think that i saw you visited my blog thus i came to “return the favor”.I’m trying to find things to enhance my website!I suppose its ok
to use some of your ideas!!
